Dyson Airblade

Welcome to the future, the future of hand drying that is.  While I was dismayed that our homeland security dollars are clearly being wasted on the wrong improvements (fancy hand dryers) at the wrong airports (Charlottesville-Albemarle) , I am encouraged to see that this company, Dyson is out there rethinking everyday appliances with innovative designs like this one.  After I used this hand-dryer, excuse me, AirBlade, my hands never felt dryer or cleaner after washing them in a public bathroom.

Garry, your post about Dyson is so true.  There really is space for innovation everywhere.

Unfortunately i have to burst your bubble a bit (or at least let a little air out). The Dyson airblade is a copy of the MItsubishi Jet Towel which was developed some years prior the the launch of the Airblade. That said it does not take away from the effectiveness of Dyson's model. It certainly performs. The Mitsubishi is certainly the most enviromentally friendly dryer available (at 560Watts compared to Dyson's 1600W) with drying times to match that of Dyson. Other <ahref>New Generation Dryers have followed with improving power ratings (and improving prices) but the Dyson remains the front runner as the most popular new generation hand dryer.
