This is the first set of photos from our New Year's trip to Hawaii. My first trip to HI greatly exceeded expectations. On Oahu, we got engaged, we visited our friends Ben & Martha in Honolulu, hung out on a bunch of beaches, took a surf lesson and kayaked to Mokulual Island from Kailua beach. We ate a ton of delicious stuff, partied a lot, visited the WWII Valor in the Pacific memorial, hiked up Kokohead and saw big wave surfing on the north shore. It was a most excellent time and we were sad to leave. While we live on the west coast, HI will remain at the top of our list of vacation destinations. With so much left still to explore, we could easily justify 4 or 5 more trips back.
