The weekend before last, I went up to Orcas for the first time to see my old roommate, Will who is working for a whale watching outfit there. Since it was his dirty 30 birthday, a bunch of people showed up including my awesome buddy and old landlord, Griz and my skeeziest old roommate Dave. Man we had a killer time. Anyone who knows me knows how much I love being in the Pacific Northwest when the weather is nice. I went up there to see old friends, drink a lot of beer and breathe some fresh air but I got much more than that. Their friend Beau who runs the whale watching company took us out on his boat the last night. At worst it would just be a fun booze cruise, however it turned out to be an epic wildlife adventure as we followed two Orcas that were trying to mate. That was such a fun trip. I am already looking forward to going back to Seattle in a few weeks to hang out with MG and the most despicable DGK.
