Hedge Fund Manager's Take on Credit Crisis, Life and Marijuana.

This guy pulled off an 880% return for his investors before sending them this letter declaring his resignation from the hedge fund business.  Read the letter. Aside from being a hilarious scathing of the establishment, it is also serves as an eye-opening account of how eccentric these brilliant  portfolio managers can be.  I guess it makes sense as they must rely on their strictly independent views to come up with trading themes contrarian enough to beat the market.

Back at Stanford...

Campus is gorgeous as usual. Looks like they're giving her a bit of a facelift- a bunch of the walkways are being repaved. I'm just here to drop off some old Phi Psi hoodies at the frat and pick up a new Stanford bottle opener keychain. Maybe I'll gt a snack and read for a bit at the remodeled CoHo. That'll probaby be enough nostalgia for one day...

David Byrne & Brian Eno Collaboration

Before hitting up yogatown today, I thought I'd share a sick new cut I just heard from Everything That Happens Will Happen Today, the new David Byrne (Talking Heads frontman) and Brian Eno collaboration.  The song is called "Strange Overtones" and like most of the music I stumble upon, I heard this on a KEXP morning show from the week that I am only now streaming over the internets.

Best part?  David Byrne and Brian Eno will let you download this nasty little track fo' free!   Check it.
